Major service

We will charge you $150 plus parts to service an A4 monochrome laser printer and $250 plus parts to service an A3 monochrome model. We will give you a specific quote on servicing any Lexmark or HP colour laser printer. When we perform a major service on your printer, we will aim to restore the printer to as close to new condition as possible. You can reasonably expect the printer to work for another 250,000 pages (depending on the manufacturer's recommended major service interval) without further major service. This, of course, does not exclude the possibility of future failures due to faulty power supplies, faulty circuit boards, etc.

We will perform the tasks listed below. We will replace parts as necessary and these parts will be identified and charged separately. We use a combination of good quality after-market parts for all moving parts and refurbished components to replace broken panels, faulty power supplies, faulty circuit boards, etc.

You can expect us to replace most or all pickup, feed and separation rollers and separation pads. We will overhaul the fuser and install any necessary new parts. We will install a new cartridge if the existing one is printing poorly, leaking toner or almost exhausted. We may recommend a memory upgrade if your printer has only the manufacturer's minimum amount of RAM installed. We will give you a detailed Tax Invoice itemising the work done and cost of each part replaced. We provide a six months return-to-base warranty on the work done and the parts replaced.
