Printer repair to fix a specific problem
We are happy to fix any specific problem with your printer without performing a major or minor service on the printer. However, our warranty on the repair will only extend to the specific work done or the specific parts replaced. For example, if we install a replacement fuser, you cannot complain to us a month later that the print head has failed and expect us to fix that under warranty.
Sometimes it is not advisable to fix a specific problem only. For example, if the fuser has been damaged as result of a leaking toner cartridge, it would be foolish to install a new fuser without also cleaning the spilt toner from the printer and installing a new cartridge. In any event, we will recommend what we think should be done to the printer and it will be your decision as to what work will be carried out.
We charge $50 to give you an assessment of the problem and an estimate of the likely repair cost. If you decide to proceed, this will be deducted from the cost of the repair. We charge $60 per hour for repair work in our workshop.
