Terms and conditions

Freight and GST:

Our prices as quoted do not include freight or GST. We offer a fixed price of $50 to deliver A4 printers by courier to all parts of Australia. This price includes the cost of packaging and courier delivery. The freight cost for the delivery of printer accessories such as additional trays, duplexers, etc depends on the weight and volumetric weight equivalent, whichever is the greater. The volumetric weight equivalent of the packaged item is calculated as follows:

Length in metres X width in metres X height in metres X 250.

For example, a Lexmark Optra T610N laser printer weighs approximately 24kg when packed. The size of the box is 0.60m * 0.52m * 0.45m. Its volumetric weight equivalent is 35kg. The courier's charges will be based on the larger figure ie 35kg rather than 24kg.

Small items such as inkjet cartridges and laser toner cartridges can be sent by air express or registered post.

Terms of Trade:

We accept payment by cash, cheque or direct deposit. We accept credit card payments via PayPal: all you need is a current email address. We have a 2.5% surcharge for credit card payments. You can download a copy of an order form from our website. When we receive your order, we will send you a Tax Invoice and we will request payment prior to despatch. However, we accept school, college, university and government purchase orders: we send a Tax Invoice with the printer and request payment in 21 days. Late payment of invoices will void warranty on the relevant products.

Guarantee:

We warrant that any printer that we supply has just been cleaned and serviced: any faulty parts have been replaced and it operates well with no obvious problems. It produces crisp, clean print that is well fixed to the paper; it does not leave spots, lines or shades of toner where they are not wanted; it aligns the print correctly on the page; it does not suffer from frequent paper jams; it does not kink or crease the paper; and it does not make unexpected noises.

This guarantee is conditional on the printer being correctly installed and configured; the user following the manufacturer's operating instructions as described in the user manual; using paper that meets the manufacturer's specifications; and using toner cartridges supplied by the Australian Printer Catalogue (leaking cartridges damage printers). The guarantee excludes user inflicted physical damage.

We will refund the purchase price if, within one month of the date of invoice:

  • You are not satisfied with your purchase
  • You have not abused the product
  • You return the product to us

Printer warranty:

We provide up to 12 months/ 50,000 pages return-to-base warranty for monochrome laser printers (depending on the model) and up to 6 months / 25,000 pages for colour laser printers (depending on the model). This warranty is conditional on the relevant Tax Invoices being paid within 21 days of the invoice date. The warranty excludes partly-used consumables such as OPC drums and transfer kits in colour printers.

Toner Cartridge warranty:

We will replace any of our premium remanufactured cartridges that prove to be defective with a new equivalent cartridge provided that it is more than 30% full by weight and is less than one year old. You must return the cartridge to us in its original box and with all its internal packaging correctly installed. We ask you to keep all the original packaging until you are satisfied with the quality of the cartridge. Any problems are likely to become evident in the first few hundred pages.

Before calling us, please check that the faulty cartridge is one that you have purchased from us (they are bar-coded with the manufacturer?s code and date); that the fault does not lie with your printer (try another cartridge in the same printer; try the suspect cartridge in another printer); and that the cartridge is not empty. It is easy to mix-up your store of old and new cartridges: Compare the weight of the suspect cartridge with the weights of full and empty cartridges given in our cartridge price lists

If you request us to collect a faulty cartridge that was not purchased from us, or a cartridge that is empty or near-empty, we will not replace the cartridge and we will charge you for the relevant freight costs. If you ask us to collect a cartridge that, when tested by our supplier, proves to pass our quality standards, we will return the cartridge to you and charge you for the relevant freight costs.
